Grand and upright piano, fortepiano and harpsichord rental
Let us quote you for a long or short-term rental of the piano or harpsichord of your choice. We rent instruments to top international venus such as the BBC, the South Bank Centre, The Royal Albert Hall, The Royal Opera House Covent Garden, English National Opera, Garsington Opera and Grange Park Opera. Our instruments even go as far afield as Belfast, Glasgow and Cardiff with expert tuning and maintenance personnel in attendance.
Rental is often the best way for any venue involved in live performance to ensure that an instrument is available in first-class condition and the costs are comparatively modest when compared with the purchase of an instrument of similar quality.
Equally, it’s sometimes initially better for parents to rent a piano for their child or children to learn on, especially as part of the rental fee can be offset against purchase after six months. It’s a common fallacy that “any old piano” will do for a beginner to learn on, but childrens’ ears deserve better! A “bargain” piano might well seem financially attractive to parents, but if the ultimate cost is that the child is discouraged to the point where they lose interest, then the actual cost cannot be measured in financial terms.
Renting a piano also gives both parents and children the opportunity of discovering whether their interest in leaning to play the piano will be sustained for long enough to make purchasing a piano a worthwhile investmet, without having to lay out the capital cost in the first instance.
