Piano and Harpsichord Tuning
We offer a comprehensive domestic, studio and concert tuning service for pianos, fortepianos and harpsichords using experienced professional tuners. In addition, we can regulate, tone and voice your piano as needed.
Domestic pianos need tuning at least every six months and often more frequently, depending upon the environment in which they are kept. There is no doubt that the satisfaction of playing is greatly enhanced when the instrument is REALLY well in tune.
Over the years, all the moving parts of a piano are subject to mechanical and environmental strain so that it no longer performs at its best. Regulating, toning and voicing can restore your piano to optimum performance.

Do please bear in mind that instruments left for over a year are likely to have dropped below concert pitch (A=440 Hz) and often require more than one tuning to bring them up to pitch. In the case of instruments which have not been tuned for a very long time, there is an increased risk of breaking strings when tuning.
While we are grateful for as much notice as possible, we do our very best to respond to genuine tuning emergencies.
