How often does my piano need tuning? The answer depends on the piano, its environment and how much it is played, but as a rough guide, you should have a piano used in a domestic setting tuned at least once a year, preferably twice if it used a lot. If you leave it too long the piano drops in pitch (from A=440) – it is considerably harder to keep it sounding nice with a pitch raise. We recommend tuning heavily used pianos in theatres, bars etc. about once a month and studio pianos often for specific sessions. So why not make sure you start the year with your piano sounding nice and in tune?
