Rimantas Vingras – concert pianist

Yesterday we had the pleasure of a visit from Rimantas Vingras, the London-based Lithuanian concert pianist who studied at the Moscow Conservatoire. He was there to test out a couple of Feurich model 122 uprights for a pupil of his. I am always amazed when world-class pianists come to the workshop and effortlessly play through such serious and complicated music. In the last year or two we have had Andras Schiff, Ronald Brautigam, Kris Bezuidenhout, Robert Levin and many others come practise. Another surprising thing is that such highly talented individuals turn out to be kind, modest and unassuming people.
