The Art of Improvisation at the Piano

I had to engage in a spot of improvisation at the piano in Abbey Road studios yesterday. In the photo is all I had available to tone down an overly bright upright piano on the floor of the Custom 75 studio. Glue and clamp for a broken key top. A very basic sandpaper strip, a short plank of wood to support the hammers and toning needles for toning the piano down. Not to mention a folded towel borrowed from the bass drum in the picture to kneel on!
